"...The child has a hundred languages (and a hundred hundred hundred more)..."

Our Reggio Emilia inspired programs enrich children's natural curiosity and love of learning with a truly holistic experience. Learning is more meaningful when we interact with materials and engage all of the senses. Big ideas are presented, following a loose curriculum that changes and evolves with the children's interests, while intriguing open-ended projects and materials are presented to provoke the creative mind. Our school programs are grounded in the fine arts, using children's imaginative play and artistic creation to solidify thoughtful investigation.
We use a hands-on curriculum that bridges authentic learning experiences in science, history, geography, literacy, and math with the fine arts. This makes learning engaging and fun! Our low student/teacher ratio allows our teachers to nurture each individual child. If you peek into our classroom you will find students engaged in individual and group work as they explore ideas, hypothesize, manipulate materials, and reflect on discoveries. Organic discussions among students and teachers provide a time for reflection and promote meaningful learning. An important component of Reggio is the presentation of the environment, which we specifically curate to enhance children's curiosity and exploration.
Each day will feature the same framework (circle time, investigation of a big idea through art/sensory materials, instrument playing/movement/song, yoga, free work time, and outdoor time). Within this framework we weave different themes and topics throughout the year. We encourage long term process-based projects which is an important component to the Reggio Emilia approach. We value documenting the children's learning through observation, photos, and stories. Making this learning visible is important in the learning process and creates a community among teacher, student, and parent. We look forward to meeting you and your child and helping them to embark on their own journey of discovery!

The following section shows an example of teacher's documentation gathered during our explorations of outer space.
Preschool
Our preschoolers thoroughly enjoyed learning all about outer space! We've been experimenting, observing, creating, dancing, and reading all things space and they just can't get enough!
Primary School
Children in our primary school class have been busy navigating the scientific process as the hypothesize, experiment, observe, collect data, and reflect on their learning. Students express their thoughts and ideas and perform their own experiments allowing us to seamlessly integrate science, math, art, literacy, and even music and movement. Big fun and big learning!
