Take a Peek into Our Classrooms

The Primary School

  • "Our son has thrived in an environment that allows him to express his interests and emotions through music, movement and art while still fostering his love of all things letters/numbers. He is encouraged to become a kind friend and explore the world around him. Our kiddo wakes up excited to go to school, and to know he is well loved and cared for on a daily basis is all we could ask for as parents. We are so grateful and lucky to have The Atelier in Columbia!"

  • "Our family has been a part of the Atelier community for seven years. Not only do we appreciate the academics, but we really appreciate the celebration of each child’s individuality, creativity and interests. The opportunity to learn reading, writing, math and other core subjects through interesting projects and experiences has been key to keeping our daughter’s attention. Who wouldn’t love to learn math and money values through “running a restaurant” or reading, research, and writing through creating a presentation to give to the class as an “expert” on a certain rock or mineral. The holistic education at the Atelier gives me confidence that our daughter will be ready for the world academically and as good human being."

  • "Two of our children have graduated from the Atelier and we plan on sending our other two little ones. The staff here has become our children’s extended family and we are so thankful for the ‘village’ that has helped mold our children into kind, curious, and creative humans. The teachers here encourage the children to always ask questions and to dig deeper into understanding the world around them (while making learning feel simply like playtime). I could not imagine our children spending their formative years anywhere else!!"

Marks on children’s clothes, the pockets filled with sand, the paint in the hair -

these are the indicators of architects, artists and scientists in training.

If you worry too much about wet or dirty clothing, we can place a real damper on the spirit of learning and self discovery. - Let the Children Play
